What did we do in class today:

last week we completed 4 webpages that link into each other page, this week we will be finding our own patterns, buttons, picture etc. to make our own websites, we will use the same method and create our own page using photoshop etc.

But mainly our goal today is make and find a button of your own.

Health Week 12th may 2009

This week is health week:

today in class our task is to design a netball kit for the school netball team, you can choose to design a netball kit or a P.E kit.

first step:

we have to download a file in homework drive and then open health week folder and download it down in your desktop.

second step:

in photoshop open one of the t-shirts and first step go to image and then mode then change to index to CMYK colour.

The age group of this website is targeted at teenagers.

The age group of this website is targeted at young children/teenagers.
What was it about the website that helped you identify the target audience?
2) How have the colours been chosen to appeal to the target audience? Explain your answer with an example.
Pictures are more teenager and colours are not as bright as the children websites.
Every colourful, and lots of cartoons picture that is suitible for young children.

3) How has the layout been chosen to appeal to the target audience? Explain your answer with an example.
The layout looks like a business work stuffs.
I think they targeted at teenagers because this website might contain somethings that are useful for them to learn.
It is very colourful, the layout of this website is very spaced out with lots of different things, things that young children would want to explore.
4) How has the content been chosen to appeal to the target audience? Explain your answer with an example.
I think the word cartoons appeal to teenagers, because they want to find out.
It is easy for some young children to read, the content does not contain unsuitable words, very easy to understand.
5) How has the language used been chosen to appeal to the target audience? Explain your answer with an example.
More adults language but teens will get it because there is not much difficult words. More business stuff and everything in the content is suitable.
The language is sutiable for younf children to read no violence vocabulary, no bad content.
Easy to understand because there are no difficult words.

What did we do in class today?

Summery:

Today in class we started in a new topic that is called year 8 graphics. Click on computer on your front screen and search for homework file then you open a folder call graphic lesson 1 file, select Mr Cottam's picture and drag it out on your desktop. Open photoshop open Mr Cottam's image, on the side you can see a layer go and double click the layer and duplicate it, unselect one layer and work on the other one. Use the polygonal tool to crop around the person and you can use the magic wand to to select the background after doing all that you use a rubber and edit the tiny bits that are uncroped by using the zoom. When using the magic wand because it selects the similar colour so you can change the tolerance on the top t 10 so it will be more accurate and save as png at the front desk. go back to the grahic file and choose a background then open photoshop and open both of the images the croped Mr cottam's image and the background, input Mr cottam's image on the back ground and add some text then save as jpeg and upload your picture in blogger!

we had to create an account on www.blogger.com but the people with gmails don't have to create a new account. they can sign in as their own gmail account, we didn't do much today because of the slow technology and so we get to read a book or read the "Murder on the Mountains" that were handed out today.

today we started off in our booklet "Murder on the Mountains" we had open the database from our folder in our account, during this work we had to finish off the assignment and no matter where we got to we had to printscreen it and paste it on photoshop then crop it and save it as jpeg. we had to finish off the questions on the booklet and learn a new button, this button is called filter to my own opinion i think this button is very useful because it is a better and faster way of finding information on the (whodinnit) doc. but after filtering you have to clean it and do it all again so you get a different answer from the filter, sometime using the button filter isn't very helpful because like me i always get mixed up of the information....

today we had to try to finish the assignment, no matter what assignment your up to you have to publish it on http://www.blogger.com/ and upload the picture and remeber to save as jpeg. After saving i t you have to open another explorer and go to a website that you teacher has given you and then copy the site in your blog and paste all info in the site that your given....i'm very sorry if you can only see this blog that i post but i swear i did my other assignment and homeworks and i posted it but then today when i clicked edit post and i thought it was just messages so i just deleted them and i can't remeber what did we do in our last lessons and i can't paste the assignment papers on http://www.blogger.com/ because i don't have the pictures but i will try and recover all my deleted posts.
